About Your Instructor

Laura Allen teaches people to market themselves more effectively and how to have fun getting the word out about what makes them special. Laura is passionate about helping her clients create effective, cohesive personal marketing strategies that excite and inspire them to achieve their personal and professional dreams.

Since co-founding 15secondpitch.com in 2002 Laura has been written about in Adweek, The Financial Times, Crain’s New York Business, and The Wall Street Journal. She has been a guest speaker at Networking Nights (co-sponsored by The New York Times and Starbucks), The M.I.T. Women’s Alumni Group, and Pace University. Laura was the keynote speaker at the 2007 Women in Communications gathering, and has appeared on Home Work (an ABC News program for entrepreneurs) as well as in three instructional videos on the : Entrepreneurs page.

  Networking Essentials builds on the 15SecondPitch Professional Pitch Training to create a personalized networking strategy and provide you with the tools you need to be a world-class self-marketing machine. In your first session, Laura will review your goals to make sure your pitch not only inspires you and others, but is also aligned well with your current business strategy. In your second session, Laura will share networking secrets honed at literally hundreds of New York City networking events over the past ten years. Your third session is dedicated to the creation of a customized networking strategy designed to leverage your particular strengths and maximize your opportunities.
